Estate & Trust Administration

No matter how prepared we try to be, a loved one's death is always a time of great sadness, even if it comes after a long illness.  It is easy to get overwhelmed with the many things to be done, especially if the deceased had no estate plan in place.  In most cases, someone will need to take care of the deceased's financial affairs, such as collecting insurance proceeds, closing or transferring accounts, paying taxes and other debts, and distributing the deceased's remaining worldly goods to intended beneficiaries.

We understand that these situations are not easy, even in the best of circumstances.  Our experienced professionals can guide and assist you in settling the deceased's affairs so you can concentrate on more important matters, such as your family.  We will help make these transitions as seamless as possible, ensuring that the deceased's wishes are fully carried out.  We will determine whether any death taxes are payable, advise you concerning tax elections and required tax returns, and represent you before any tax authorities.  If any continuing trusts are to be created, we will explain the operation of each trust, as well as the respective rights and duties of the trustees and beneficiaries of the trust.

We provide comprehensive estate and trust administration services, including:

  • Personal Representative (Executor) or Trustee Appointment and Succession
  • Court Proceedings to Probate Wills
  • Collection of Assets
